Rock-Paper-Scissors Activity

Math 8ers

The tasks for the Rock-Paper-Scissor activity are:

  1. Using your own game data, draw a graph to represent the number of games player A won, the number of games player 2 won and the number of ties.
  2. Using the whole class data, draw a graph to represent the number of games player A won, the number of games player 2 won and the number of ties. If you can calculate the average for the player A's and player B's and ties you will see something interesting!
  3. Write a discussion about what you observe happening in the two graphs, the differences other two graph and why they may differ. Discuss how this relates to the theoretical probability that you worked out on the back of the Rock-Paper-Scissors hand out
